This dissertation research, the essential features of the definition and formation of the legal status of foreigners in the Ukrainian territories in the 18th-20th centuries are fully and generally considered. The structural elements of their legal status, guarantees and legal obligations, as well as the specifics of the participation of foreigners in civil, economic and labor legal relations and the conditions of their legal responsibility have been determined.
