Talakh A. Criminological characteristics and prevention of crimes related to the activities of religious organizations

The thesis sets out theoretical provisions and scientifically based recommendations for the prevention of crimes related to the activities of religious organizations in Ukraine. Comprehensive analysis and investigation have been performed on the degree of scientific development of this problem and analyzed scientific research papers that became the theoretical basis for the research of the thesis. It has been determined the state and trends of crime related to the activities of religious organizations in Ukraine. Moreover, determinants of a crime associated with the activities of religious organizations have been analyzed and systematized, conducted comprehensive analysis of the criminological characteristics of a person committing criminal offenses of this category and the main causes and conditions leading to its commission. Furthermore, general social and special criminological and individual measures to prevent crime related to the activities of religious organizations have been revealed and improved. Based on the results of the research, a number of theoretical and practical conclusions have been formulated and justified. In addition, improvements to the current legislation of Ukraine and its adaptation to the legislation of the European Union have been developed based on positive practices of law enforcement agencies of foreign countries in preventing this type of crime.
