In the thesis for the first time in Ukrainian linguistics the areological processes in the dialects of Nadvirna region, located in the zone of contacts of the Transnistrian, Pokut, Hutsul dialects of the south-western dialect are investigated. The sources of the study were their own field records from 57 inhabited locality of Nadvirna region of Ivano-Frankivsk oblast (2010–2020). According to the results of mapping the representatives of separate lexical-semantic groups, the Atlas of dialects of Nadvirna region (58 maps) was compiled, which included all modern dialects. According to the results of mapping lexical-semantic, phonetic and grammatical phenomena in the dialects of Nadvirna region, the internal dialectal differentiation of the dialects of modern Nadvirna region was revealed; the boundaries of contact dialects, the margins of which enter the territory of Nadvirna region, have been clarified; new empirical material was introduced into scientific circulation. Some areological units and their lingual content have been identified. Post-cartographic interpretation made it possible to divide the dialects of Nadvirna region into two zones: the northern, in which two groups of dialects are distinguished - northern and northeastern, and the southern, where Hutsul dialects are widespread. Transnistrian and Pokut phenomena and island micro-areas have been mapped in the northern and north-eastern groups. In dialects bounded by strands of isoglosses along the lines Pasichna – Mozolivka – Strymba – Loeva – Deliatyn – Zarichchia – Chornyi Potik – Chorni Oslava (in the south) and Hvizd – Myrne – Nazavyziv – Paryshche – Hlynky (in the north), the imposition of isoglosses of linguistic phenomena in the northern and the southern dialect zones of Nadvirna region is proved. They interact most closely south of Nadvirna region approximately along the line Bilozoryna – Mozolivka – Strymba – Loeva, which is considered to be the northern border of the Hutsul dialect in the Nadvirna region. It was established that the Transnistrian features penetrate deep into the Nadvirna region, forming areas in the interfluve of the Bystritsa Nadvirna and Strymba up to Nadvirna, which confirms the opinion of predecessors about the offensive nature of the Transnistrian language. Almost all the Pokut isoglosses that go deep into the Nadvirna region are concentrated a little east of Nadvirna itself. The study of the areology of the Pokut dialects of Nadvirna region, the comparison of older areological information and the results of modern mapping allowed to state that for a hundred years the Pokut dialect has significantly reduced the territory of functioning in Nadvirna region. The opinion of Yu. Shevelyov that the Pokut dialect is transitional between Hutsul and Transnistrian is confirmed.
