Shcherbak S. Welfare State as a model of modern development of socio-economic systems

The theorist and methodological tools of welfare state research as a national model of development of socially oriented market economy and peculiarities of its implementation in leading countries of the world were formed in the paper. The author on the basis of a critical generalization of the theoretical principles of the formation of a social type state developed a conceptual variable structural and functional model of the welfare state and determined the scientific and applied basis for the development and implementation of an institutional and economic mechanism for the effective use of a complex of resources to meet the needs of citizens and society, and increase the welfare of the nation.
