Fedorenko I. Methods of Investigating Bribery Provocation

The object of research is criminal activity and investigative activity to detect and investigate bribery provocations. The purpose of the study is to develop scientifically sound provisions and recommendations for investigating the provocation of bribery. The methodological basis of the dissertation is based on general scientific and special methods of scientific research: dialectical, system-structural, comparative-legal, historical-legal, sociological, statistical and formal logic. Theoretical and practical results, novelty: taking into account the specifics of the mechanism of bribery provocations due to the scope of their commission, corruption and the identity of the offender, the content of the elements of the relevant forensic characteristics; the circumstances to be clarified have been singled out and characterized as a component of the methodology of investigation of provocation of bribery; typical investigative situations of the initial and subsequent stages of bribery provocation investigation are identified. Degree of implementation: in research activities - in the aspect of further development and improvement of the above provisions, as well as as a basis for the formation and implementation of certain forensic methods of investigation; in law-making - as a basis for the development of new and improvement of existing regulations, the provisions of which regulate the organization of the investigation of bribery provocation; in law enforcement activities - in order to improve certain forms and methods of interaction between anti-corruption actors in Ukraine. Scope of use: in the educational process - during the preparation of textbooks and scientific and methodological materials in the disciplines of "Criminalistics" and "Criminal Procedure"; they are already used in the course of classes in these disciplines at Sumy State University.
