The dissertation outlines the main points of Kost Shyshko’s biography, which made it possible to trace the peculiarities of the world perception, moral and ethical principles of the writer, as well as to reflect the principle of transformation of the author’s impressions into the art of declamation. Social, political and cultural atmosphere of the second half of the twentieth century has been clarified. The most important preconditions for the formation of the phenomenon of the sixties are revealed. When investigating the formation of Kost Shyshko’s creative personality in this context, a comparative analysis of his work with the poetry of M. Vingranovsky, L. Kostenko, E. Sverstyuk, V. Symonenko, V. Stus was made.
