Udod M. Psychological features of professional selection of emergency medical aid and disaster medicine specialists

The problem of professional selection and training of qualified personnel is an integral part of socio-economic policy in the most progressive countries. The primary tasks of improving emergency medical aid in Ukraine are related to the necessity of providing it in war and social emergency zone during combat operations and coronavirus pandemic and the development of an effective professional training system for specialists. Analysis of modern scientific research on the topic of psychological characteristics of professional selection of emergency medical care and disaster medicine specialists allowed to offer a three-level conceptual psychological model of professional selection, which included emotion-and-will, reflexion-and-activity and motivation-and-value levels. The empirical professional selection psychological model of emergency medical aid and disaster medicine specialists and psychoсorrection and training program proposed in the thesis may be recommended as a basis for practice of professional selection and psychological assistance in revealing the individual potential of professional development of emergency medical aid and disaster medicine specialists, as well as specialists of other medical units (for example, surgical teams), which are essential tasks of psychological and medical practice.
