Kucher O. Defender’s Participation in Criminal Proceedings on Crimes in Official Activities

The thesis contains new results in the form of scientific conclusions on the defender’s participation in criminal proceedings on crimes in official activities, current issues of legal enforcement in this category of criminal proceedings and scientific substantiation of the possible approaches to overcome them. The state of scientific development of the raised topic is researched and the procedural status of the defender in the specified category of criminal proceedings is analyzed. The defender’s participation in the notification of the person about the suspicion, the use of criminal proceedings measures and conducting investigative (search) actions in the pre-trial investigation of criminal offenses in official activities is highlighted. The author researched a scientific analysis of current issues that occur regarding the participation of the defender in the preparatory proceedings, court proceedings and during the court decisions revision in criminal proceedings on crimes in official activities.
