Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the improvement of conditioning systems of the air at the inlet of gas turbine unit (GTU) through ambient air precooling due to the excess of cooling capacities of the waste heat recovery chiller (WHRCh), which is generated at decreased heat loads, with its accumulation and use at high heat loads on the air cooler. Ambient air precooling at peak heat loads due to accumulated excess of cooling capacities provides a reduction in cooling consumption for further decreasing the temperature of air in the WHRCh. The method of rational organization of the processes of removal, storage and the use of condensate according to its temperature in the air conditioning processes at the inlet of GTU during increased heat loads as a coolant of the stage for precooling of air at the inlet of GTU with the use of a reserve of cooling capacities of the WHRC, that provides a reduction in the design heat load on the air cooler and accordingly the design cooling capacity of WHRCh by 20...30%.
