Essay

The goal of research consists in theoretical and methodological substantiation, and experimental verification of the designed model of forming future mechanics’ professional competence for technical service in educational establishments. Scientific novelty of the obtained results consists in the following: this research is the first work to formulate and substantiate the theoretical and methodical foundations for professional training of future mechanics in educational establishments, with professional competence for technical service; it has developed and substantiated a model for organizing the educational process of forming future mechanics’ professional competence for technical service within the framework of their professional training; it has developed the structure and determination of future mechanics’ professional competence for technical service, defined criteria and indices, and characterized levels of its formedness in accordance with the logical-pedagogical analysis; it has improved the content-based and methodical value of modules for vocationally oriented subjects in training future mechanics for activities in technical service; the concepts of “technical service,” “future mechanics’ professional competence for technical service,” and content-related specificity of the definition “professional training of future mechanics for technical service” have been formulated in the author’s interpretation; it has substantiated the theoretical and methodical foundations, and has tested experimentally the effectiveness of a model for organizing the educational process of forming future mechanics’ professional competence for technical service; it has further developed theoretical and methodical foundations of educationology and professional training of future mechanics. Practical importance of the obtained results of this research consists in substantiation, elaboration and implementation of a model for organizing the educational process of forming future mechanics’ professional competence for technical service; modernization of methodological framework for educational and content-based elements of subjects included into the professional training and intended to form future mechanics’ professional competence for technical service: “Automobile design and theory,” “Vehicle technical maintenance,” “Essential automotive repair technology,” “Automotive electrical equipment,” “Technological equipment for automotive repair and servicing”; development of an integrated vocationally oriented course “Technical service for mechatronic systems” for training future specialists in specialty 274 “Motor transport,” field of knowledge 27 “Transport.” Materials of this research could be of practical importance for a wide range of specialties that involve professional training of future specialists in the field of transportation and related servicing.
