Essay

Based on the study of a set of issues arising during the pre-trial investigation of offenses committed by subjects of increased criminal influence, formulated scientific provisions and obtained results that are collectively aimed at solving an important scientific problem in forensic methodology, developed practical recommendations for collection of evidence in criminal proceedings of this category of cases. The dissertation is the first comprehensive study of theoretical and practical problems of forensic characterization and investigation of pre-trial investigation of offenses committed by subjects of increased criminal influence, taking into account the current state of criminal procedure law and law enforcement. Based on the analysis of the state of pre-trial investigation of offenses committed by subjects of increased criminal influence, the following characteristics are outlined: stable negative tendency to commit serious and especially serious offenses; preservation of a significant amount of mercenary and violent crime; group offenses are offenses committed on an organized and professional basis, related to the use of firearms, explosive devices; committing offenses committed in places of imprisonment and in foreign countries that have the highest hierarchical criminal status of a thief in law, professional skills of influencing a person, the formation and management of the structure of a criminal organization, etc.
