Shestopalova Y. Investigation of criminal offenses related to sexual exploitation of children of Ukraine

The dissertation deals with the scientific basis of a comprehensive forensic methodology for investigating criminal offenses related to sexual exploitation of children in the new criminal procedure legislation, defines its place in the system of species methods, as well as the structure of forensic characteristics, which includes such elements as preparation, commission and concealment of criminal offenses; the setting of the act and the trace picture; information on persons who have committed criminal offenses, criminal groups and the identity of the child victim (s), taking into account the current state of criminal procedure legislation and law enforcement activities. Problematic aspects of detection and initiation of pre-trial investigation of criminal proceedings concerning sexual exploitation of a child have been studied. Typical investigative situations and main directions of investigation are singled out. Possibilities of cooperation between law enforcement agencies of Ukraine and other countries in the investigation process have been identified. The peculiarities of tactical and forensic support of investigative (investigative) actions and covert investigative (investigative) actions during the investigation are revealed and the peculiarities of appointment and conducting forensic examinations are analyzed.
