Essay

In the dissertation, on the basis of an analytical study of professional sources of foreign and domestic legal science, a comprehensive theoretical and legal characterization of justice and its criteria in the law enforcement activities of the modern Ukrainian state is carried out. The work argues that one of the fundamental value-based principles of the application of the law is the principle of justice itself, and the development of clear criteria for its implementation in certain types of law enforcement activities is extremely important for strengthening public trust in the legal system of Ukraine and the legal institutions of our state. It is substantiated that the implementation of the criteria of the principle of justice takes place at the social and applied, actually legal levels of law enforcement. The analysis of the peculiarities of the implementation of the principle of justice and its criteria in the activities of public authorities in Ukraine showed that the most important among them are the observance of the principles of legality and transparency in the activities of these authorities. The legal significance of the implementation of the principle of justice and its criteria in the activities of law enforcement and supervisory bodies by encouraging the improvement of the level of professional training of their employees has been revealed. It is confirmed that the legislative consolidation of the principle of justice in the process of administration of justice will allow to adequately interpret and apply the law to the circumstances of the case in accordance with the procedurally established procedure and the idea of law.
