The scientific work is devoted to the study of criminological characteristics and the development of measures to prevent criminal offences related to the abuse of influence. The author identifies quantitative and qualitative indicators of the above-mentioned criminal acts, namely: level, geography, nature, structure, dynamics, and level of latency. In addition, a criminological characterization of persons who abuse influence is made.
