The dissertation provides a new solution to the complex scientific task of substantiating the theoretical-methodical and applied principles of generation and implementation of competitive strategies for innovative and investment development of agro-industrial production enterprises. The work specifies and systematizes the theoretical foundations of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of strategic management. Scientific and methodical approaches to the development of a competitive strategy of the enterprise have been studied. The process of developing the company's competitive strategy has been improved and the necessary tools for this have been identified. The criteria and generalization of the system of classification of agro-industrial enterprises are substantiated. A matrix of strategies for agro-industrial enterprises based on clustering has been created. The simulation of the choice of a priority direction for the formation of a competitive strategy at agroindustrial enterprises was carried out. The choice of the most effective competitive strategy for an agro-industrial enterprise is substantiated. The theoretical foundations of the formation of a competitive strategy of agricultural enterprises are substantiated by determining the conceptual principles of managing the competitiveness of agricultural enterprises and their products based on the identification of market and production and sales opportunities in the context of the implementation of the general strategy for the development of the subject of economic relations and the achievement of the goals of sustainable development and progressive implementation of productive growth strategies . The conceptual apparatus of strategic management has been improved, in particular, the definition of "strategy" as a complex concept that takes into account its essence, method of implementation and expected result. The identity of the concepts of "business strategy" and "business strategy" is substantiated with the aim of ensuring long-term competitive advantages, and they are also clarified as a type of management of individual divisions of the company by streamlining the scientific interpretation of the term "competitive strategy", which is defined as a dynamic long-term complex of interrelated measures , aimed at achieving and maintaining competitiveness, capable of neutralizing competitive forces and building a competition strategy taking into account internal and external factors. The characteristics and stages of the process of developing a competitive strategy are defined, which is based on the analysis of the external and internal environment of the enterprise using the methods of PEST, SPACE, SWOT analysis, benchmarking and clustering, and also allows determining a rational strategy focused on specific divisions or sectors of the enterprise and accompanied by a clear toolkit for implementation. A system of classification of agro-industrial enterprises has been developed, which is based on such criteria as the size of the enterprise, the area of land, the efficiency of resource use, production assets and the quality of management, which allows creating a classification system that takes into account the peculiarities of agro-industrial enterprises.
In the first chapter, "Scientific principles of the formation of a competitive strategy of enterprises", various approaches of the authors to the concept of "strategy" were considered, as well as their own definition was proposed, which takes into account its essence, methods and results of implementation. The place of competitive strategy among management strategies is determined, and differences in the interpretation of the relationship between competitive and business strategies are resolved, explaining their difference, and a strategy classification system is proposed.
In the second chapter "Analysis of the state and trends of the economic development of agro-industrial enterprises" the main principles of the development of the agrarian sector of Ukraine are defined; the leading enterprises on the market are defined, classified and clustered.
In the third chapter "Strategies of competitive innovation and investment development of agro-industrial production enterprises" the sources and tools of investment of innovative projects to increase the competitiveness of agroindustrial production enterprises are defined, the typology of strategies is substantiated and the applied identification of strategic alternatives for the development of their competitive potential is carried out, procedural aspects of the generation and implementation of competitive development strategies are considered enterprises of agro-industrial production.
The practical significance of the research results lies in the possibility of their application by enterprises of agroindustrial complex.
