Conceptions of Elitism in the Context of Democratic Transformation Processes. The attempt is made to understand the elitist paradigm in the sociology on the base of theoretical generalizations. The methods of investigation are system and strural-functhional approarhs to analysis of social elite.Two different perspectivs: stratification and institutional of еlite understanding is distinguished. The modification of classic elite conceptions is the result of the wide democratisation of resent societies. The sphere of use are the scientific investigations and menegment.
