Berezhna T. Radiation hygienic assessments of the peat deposits in Ukraine, conditions of its production, processing and use on the territory contaminated due to the Chernobyl accident

Peat, peat block, peat coal block, ash, channel main waterway water. The study of the radioactive contamination peculiarities of the industrial peat plots, the assessment and limitation of the irradiation doses for the population. Methods of investigation: radiometry, spectrometry, radoichemistry, statistical, design-methods. The peculiarities of radioactive contamination of the peat plots have been demonstrated, the assessment of the irradiation doses for the workers have been established, the levels of the population irradiation have been limited. The received results have made a contribution into a more complete investigation og the radioactive contamination of the peat plots areas, a possibility of irradiation doses estimation for the population in the sphere of peat quarrying, processing has been given. The control level of radioactive caesium content in peat blocks has been calculated, «The radiation control rules of peat and peat blocks» have been worked out. The sphere of the utilization is a s anitary service and peat industry.
