Practice of aktiviti of customs and lav-enforcement organ in eliciting, investigation and prevention of smuggling. To develop the basis of criminalistic metholody of investigating of smuggling and practical ways of its realization. The research methods: dialectics and system analysis, sociological, relatively - legal, normative - legal, statistcal, simulation and forecasting. For the first time in Ukraine the main questions of eliciting, disclosing and investigating of smuggling were researched. The conclusions and recommendations which were formulated in the thesis may be used in practical work of customs and law - enforcement organs, in scientific - research work, academic process, while developing of text - books and educational supplies. State customs service of Ukraine adapted for consideration reports on improving of currently in force, which regulates the activity of customs and law - enforcement organs in the struggle against smuggling.The issuing of the manuals is planned.
