A laboratory method has been developed for an artificial contamination of seed, seedings and cotyledons with diseases. Biochemical mechanisms of resistance against pathogens were established for the varieties of winter rape. Perspective disease-resistant varieties of winter rape were obtained, such as Bazhany, Perlyna Vinnytsi,Chorny Veleten and Ranok Podilya, wich may serve as genetic sowrces of resistance against a complex of diseases and be recommended for further use in the practice of crop breeding
