Essay

The possibility of biliary decompression application in therapeutic pre-operation complex in patients with long-term intensive obstructive jaundice is shown. It was established that percutaneous transhepatic cholecystostomy provides an adequate biliary decompression and is the method of choice using two-step surgical management in patients with malignant obstructive jaundice. It was proved that preoperative bile ducts decompression, as a constituent part of the complex preoperative preparing, gives possibility of radical procedure percentage increasing in the case of malignant injury of the hepatopancreatobiliary zone. The preoperative biliary decompression application in the surgical management in patients with long-term intensive obstructive jaundice decreases an amount of postoperative complications and mortality.
