Life self - determination of youth as an internally determined process of a person's recognition of his/her place in the system of social relations. The rural youth's ideas and estimations, of social - economic transformations in a village were defined. The attitude of rural youth to the forms of property and economic activity in the agrarian sphere was studied. The process of life self - determination of village youth in theconditions of formation of new economic relations wasinvestigated. The mechanism of the realization of life self - determination and its influence on socialbehaviour of youth in a modern Ukrainian village was ascertained.
