The artistic world of Тaras Shevchenko's prose from a point of view of the paradigm of artistic psychological analysis is investigated; the range of its forms and methods, the concepts "psychoanalysis", "psychologism" and <art psychological analysis" are determined, the last one being substantiated as a term. In the work the attempt of total specifically textual analysis of Тaras Shevchenko's prose as a complex, integrated into the all All-European historical and literary process system and at the same time deeply national system with the features of genre evolution on the level of formal- structural and thematic blocks is carried out for the first time. Methods: historically-literary, comparative-historical, complex-systematic, psychological. The results of research can be used when arranging courses on History of Ukrainian Literature, specialized courses for philological students, when writing monographs on the literary process in the 40 - 50-s of the ХIХ century.
