Podavalenko A. Epidemiological features of diphtheria infection in some regions of Ukraine and ways of epidemiological supervision system improvement

For the first time in the work there were studied diphtheria epidemiological manifestations features in aspect of 7 territories of Ukraine, mainly eastern and soutern, which were differentiated on ecological conditions and social economic orientation. It is shown a negative influence of technogenic factors (metallurgical, coalchemical and other manufactures) on antidiphtherical im-mu-nity formation in adult population. Ihere were presented more deeply ideas of diphtheric Corynebacteria population structure and their strain charac-te-ristics. It was proposed a principle of diphtheric Corynebacteria typing to deter-mine epidemiological value of the focus. It was grounded the purpo-se-fulness of epidemiological supervesion after diphtheria system improvement and it was prоposend its structural functional pattern including additional measures (study of Diphtheria agent circulation peculiarities, its population structure and strain characteristics, evalution of environemental factors influence on postvaccin e antidiphtheric immunity status); application of them gives opportunity to increase its efficiency.
