Sokil B. The investigation of the Ukrainian language peculiarities and debates on it in linguistics of the XIX - beninning XX century.

The thesis deals with the first monografhical description of the debates on Ukrainian language as the ethnic and social phenomenon. It revealed the progress in structural studying of the Ukrainian language's history in the context of the discussion on it. The result of the investigation is achieved according to the publications in scientific, social – political scientific literature and the publications of documents, works, and correspondence applicable to it. Methods: descritive, collative and comparative. The results of researh can be used in teaching specialized courses and seminars at higher educational aetablecgments and colledes, and for the further investigations of Ukrainian Literary Language History.
