Theoretical and practical results: substance of grain market is defined, development of barley market at regional level is generalized, different aspects of developing regional barley and its processed products market in transition economy are considered, directions of formation of the market of prospect parameters for barley production and consumption in the region till 2005 are substa ntiated. Novelty of introduced: a complex study of economic problems in different stages of production, procurement, storage, processing, and selling of barley grain; supply and demand for barley in the regional market are studied, organization structure and establishment of barley exchange trade in the region are substantiated, marketing system in the barley market is elaborated. Implementation degree: developed indicates and models of express analysis are used by specialists of the agri-food sector (Vinnitsa oblast); they can be used to estimate changes in the grain market by specialists of the Ministry of the agro-industrial complex and separate oblasts.
