Dzyuba T. Literary and aesthetic conception of Panteleymon Kulish

In the paper social, political, philosophic and aesthetic principles of theoretical and literary-critical views of P.Kulish are analysed. The components of the writer's literary and aesthetic views - reconstituted in the process of the research - enables the objective realization of the development pattern of the Ukrainian literature presented by P.Kulish. The traditional concept of the Ukrainian literature taking its cue from ethnographic and every-day life samples, utilitarianism and hermetism was subjected to criticism and reconsidered. The peculiarities of perception of folklore were described; the transition from collectivistic principles to individualistic ones as well as from folk aesthetic criteria to the writer's criteria of art evaluation was revealed
