258 patients with CAD (201 with acute myocardial infarction and 57 with postinfarction cardiosclerosis) in whom progremmed ventricular stimulation and 2-D echocardiography were performed. Clinical and haemodynamic factors leading to electric instability of the myocardium in this group of patients were determined. Indications for the programmed ventricular stimulation were developed.
