The dissertation is devoted to the problems of professional training improvement of the primary school teachers under the circumstances of fundamental changes in Ukrainian education . The model of the students' preparedness for the work with gifted children in the system of common structural preparedness for the pedagogical work has been worked out. The criterias of students' professional adaptation to the practical work with gifted students at elementary school have been identified.
