Nikifor L. Prophylaxis and Optimization of Treating Pyo-septic complications of Puerperium

The dissertation deals with the problem of prophylaxis and optimization of PSC treatment in Obstetrics. By using the method of epidemiologic retrospective analysis during the first stage of reseach it became possible to determine PSC incidence of puerperium, its structure and dynamics population risk factors of PSC in the Chernivtsi region from 1992 to 1996 years. The dependence of the level of septic postpartum stages on the frequency of operative delivery, correlation of the incidence of obstetric sepsis and venereal diseases is shown. Pssible reserves of decreasing the level of PSC after delivery are revealed, as such the inclusion of USE of the uterus, cytoscopy of uterine lochia, local application of antibacterial remedies. During the second stage of reseach it was possible by means of selective method to show the effeciency of the author's elaborated techniques of prophylactic use of decamethoxin as the chief antiseptic during delivery with the aim of vaginal sanitation of PSC pregnant risk group s. It was also possible to demonstrate for the first tame the efficiency of intrauterine lavage by means of decamethoxin in a complex remedial measures in cases of pueperal endometritis.
