Essay

The criterion for optimum construction of a network of highways is developed in view of influence of a network of roads on formation of transport flows and influence of transport flows on formation of a configuration of a network. The developed criterion of optimum construction of a road network represents a minimum of road-transport expenses at functioning system "road conditions - transport flow", establishing functional dependence between components of system. The techniques on designing a road networks and its further optimisation, and also technique by definition economically of optimum site of a central point are developed.
