Necessary and sufficient conditions of stability of rotations around a vertical axis of the system of two rigid bodies in the case, when one body is represented by a weightless string (a weightless rod) and another body contains an ellipsoidal cavity with ideal liquid that performs the vortex motion are found and investigated. Conditions for motion passive stabilization of the system of interconnected two rigid bodies in the case, when there is special kind of a join, are obtained and investigated.
