Object of research are the self-made houses,colonial and modern builded apartments constructed in cities of the country. The purpose of research is the development(manufacture) is scientific - reasonable of principles of formation of structure of a urban apartment for the local population in conditions of Congo depending on it(him) social - demographic structures and household needs(requirements). Technique of research. For reception of authentic conclusions and recommendations are used: the comparative analysis of statistical, demographic, normative materials of the domestic and foreign literature; generalisation and critical estimation of experience of designing, construction and operation of existing fund of inhabited buildings and apartments; the comparative analysis of existing types of apartments, experimental designing. In the whole work is subordinated to logic cause-deductions communications (connections). The theoretical rules and practical recommendations of work can be used during real des igning and choice of the design decision of apartment houses at building new and reconstruction of old residential areas of cities of the countries of tropical Africa (former colony of the European countries). The offered principles of formation of regional urban dwelling can be used in researches on problems of perfection of conditions of residing in cities Congo, and also in educational process by preparation of the students of building high schools. On protection the following results are born(taken out): the basic principles and receptions is functional - planing- organisations of a urban apartment Congo; the nomenclature, recommended for mass urban construction, of types of apartments in Congo, developed on the basis of the structural approach to their spatial organisation (zone of household process - premise(room) - blocks of premises(rooms) - functional zones an apartment) and revealing of optimum parameters of spaces for each process, and made with the account by specificity social - demographic of st ructure of the urban population Congo and features of national-household traditions. The scientific novelty consists in development national of the caused types of premises(rooms) of apartments and their parameters: by a drawing room with the main household zone - home church, national kitchens, the parameters and which equipment are caused by specificity of preparation of national dishes, children's game premise(room) - as necessary planing of an element in apartments for children too much families, entrance unit in an apartment as a hall - drawing room as specific female premise(room); in an establishment of the circuit functional zones of an apartment on the basis of a national originality of structure of family and its(her) image of life: in development of the recommendations under the nomenclature of types of apartments for cities Congo. The results of researches can be used for the countries, adjacent to territory Congo - Zaire, Angola, Gabon, Central African Republic (CAR) and Cameroon.
