The dissertation deals with the analysis of Opillya surnames of XVIII-XX centuries. The dissertation gives the description of proper and common lexical units became the stem of Opillya surnames. The word-building and structural analysis of the surnames enabled to find out productivity and localization of the main word-building models of Opillya surnames in different historical periods. The investigations of Opillya surnames shows that having regional peculiarities they become a components of the general Ukrainian anthroponymy.
