The thesis is devoted to a substantiation of an opportunity of effective development of rather contiguous seams in Western Donbass in the ascending order. As a result of analytical, laboratory and mine resarches laws of displacement of оverlaying rocks and rock pressure manifestation in workings under development of rather contiguous seams are established, rational sequence, place of extraction drifts on overlaying seam are based.
