Essay

There were used the mitochondria from rat liver. The mechanisms of metal cations influence were studyed using polarography, pH-metric, spectrophotometry and isotope methods. There were polarography block, ionometer, scintillation counting-tube, spectrophotometers used as experimental equipment. The mechanisms of metal cations influence upon such functions of mitochondria as respiration, ADP-phosphorylation, calcium-accumulation and the state of membrane permeability were studyed. The results were improved into the tutorial courses of Ukrainian high schools and may be useful in biophysics, physiology, bioenergetics.
