Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the analysis of Ukraine's significance for the European political process in first decades of 20th century (1914-1921). On the base of used sources - German language literature and periodicals - the preconditions and appropriateness of arising of Ukrainian question are retraced, the interdependence of its components and Ukraine's efforts to change from the object of political processes in Europe to the independent subject of the independent subject of international political process are shown. In the dissertation it is investigated the process of Ukraine and its struggle for the own statehood reflection in the German-language literature and press.
