The dissertation is devoted to revealing of premises and tendencies of development of architecture of churches of Slobozhanschina second at half XIX - beginning XX) centuries. The archival materials are investigated, the design materials of Kharkov architects are entered into scientific custom. The large role of architects in development of architecture of region of churches is established. Types of churches, their composite features for the first time are determined. The analysis of creative methods of architects Is made, processed of evolution of buildings are uncovered.
