The subject of inquiry is ideological directivity of mas- .media texts The goal is to make original approach to the ideological directivity of mass-media texts in transformation Society. Methods of theoretical and statistical generalization, content analyses are used. The sociological concepts and methods are indicated and the recommendations how to apply them are given. The new approach and concepts for social analysis are offered, some of them are tested. The results are applied in Sociology Department of Kharkov national University. The field of application includes Sociology of mass-media, sociologicaanalysis of transformational process
