The subject: The phraseological semantics of Proper Names and their role in the formation of national and international features of the Polish phraseology. The aim: to define the role of the onomastic component in the process of the formation and the motive of the phraseological meaning, to find the correlation of national and international in Polish onomastic phraseological units. The metods of logical description, component analysis, structural-semantic modelling, the comparative method. The results: The new method of semantic analysis of Proper Names in phraseology was introduced. The Polish onomastic phraseology was explored for the first time in the aspect of phraseological units inner-structural meaning.It was made the distribution of the onomastic phraseology accordiny to the belonging to the international nucleus and periphery.The usage sphere: courses in phraseology, onomastics; lexicographical practice.
