The dissertation is dedicated to party creation issues in the political system of transitional period of Ukraine in the context of world experience. The peculiarities of the parties in conditions of totalitarian and democratic regimes, genesis of modern political parties in Ukraine are studied on the basis of analysis of considerable factual archives materials and state statistics and also on the basis of the works of native and foreign scientists. The typology of the parties is adduced.
