3 - The thesis considers the possibility and effectiveness of percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) in patients with early postinfarction unstable angina and unstable angina pectoris of new onset. The thesis also considers the coronaroventriculographic findings for the selection of the patients to perform effective PTCA. Results of the investigation demonstrate that effective PTCA is possible to perform in patients with early postinfarction unstable angina and unstable angina pectoris of new onset. But effectiveness of coronary angioplasty depends on the quantity of damage-vessels and type of stenosis. More effective PTCA was performed in patients with one or two damage-vessels and without occlusion and also with concentric and eccentric plaque without rupture and thrombus formation.
