Essay

A new direction in experimental superconducting physics is elaborated: this is the investigation of HTS bulks with levitation techniques. A set of rules about magnetic flux penetration and motion in bulk high temperature superconductors (HTS) have been established. The main results of the work have found utilization in the development of new devices with levitation for measuring and energy storage in inertial systems with HTS bearings.
