Essay

The reproductive effects caused by prenatal exposure to pesticides (31 chemical items, from 14 classes of chemical compounds) in experiments with isolated and combined influence, and also at various administration rout were investigated. The methodological approaches to an evaluation and classification of pesticides according to their established reproductive toxicity in view of dose-response and dose selection assessment were developed. On the basis of the developed approaches the risk assessment and hazard index interpretation for all pesticides, which are used in Ukraine (350 chemical items), carried out. The recommendations for its toxicological regulatory challenges are made. Guideline program concerning with regulation of chemical plant protection agents to provide their human reproduction safety, have been issued.
