Essay

The dissertation is devoted to theoretical studying the phase-coherent charge transport in superconducting artificial and natural inhomogeneous systems, including tunnel junctions, granular systems, and materials with layered atomic structure. Electromagnetic properties of layered superconductors with anisotropic pairing are explored and it is shown that such properties are essentially determined by peculiarities of the electric charge transport along the c-axis. The effect of Josephson plasmon emission caused by the nonequilibrium tunneling injection into high Tc superconductor is predicted.
