Objects: Phenomenon of high-Tc superconductivity and the precursory phenomena of metallization and dielectrization. Goals: Spectroscopy of electronic processes and interactions which are decisive for the nature of normal and superconducting states of cuprate HTS. Methods: Optical absorption, reflection, cathodo- and photoluminescence. New results: A new direction of high-frequency optical spectroscopy is developed for the frequency range of the fundamental Hubbard absorption. Employment: The results can be used for studying equilibrium and nonequilibrium electronic properties of HTS and for solving problems concerning mechanisms of superconductivity. Introduction: The results are important for developing new methods of diagnostics of cuprate HTS and for elaboration of optoelectronic devices.
