Ishchenko N. Synonymy of the Substantives Derived from the same root in Modern German

The dissertation deals with the complex comprehensive description of word-building synonymy in the microsystem of nouns derived from the same root. The concept of synonymous meaning of derivatives, which is cardinal for the dissertation, is based on the following conceptional components: synonymy, synonym, synonymization, synonymous relations. The structural and semantic integrative and differential criteria of synonymy reveal synonymy of derivatives, distinguish the wordbuilding synonyms from other wordbuilding paradigmatic units, stipulate the processes of synonymization, explain the types and the character of synonymous relations and provide the possibility to consider these lexical units as a result of interaction of lexical, structural and wordbuilding characteristics. Wordbuilding synonyms are on borderline of two levels - lexical and wordbuilding - and as such acquire specific features of lexical and wordbuilding levels, thus confirming their double-faced interlevel nature. These lexical units are described, classified, qualified from the point of view of their structure and semantics, their language status and linguistic potential being determined.
