The investigation is devoted to the problems of formation of the communicative-speech habits in the process of Russian language study. A new trend is developed which is based on the conception of the communicatively oriented methods in language teaching. A new system of the work on formation of communicative-speech skills of the pupils of the 5 th - 9 th forms with the Russian language teaching, the high effectiveness of which is theoretically grounded and practically confirmed. The fundamental results of the research have found an application in planning a program for schools with Russian language teaching.
