Matvijchuk B. Obstructive colon cancer as the surgical and oncological problem

The work generalizes the results of investigation and treatment of 202 patients with cancerous colon ileus. Common clinic, laboratory, instrumental and pathomorphologic data's influence upon immediate and remote results of treatment is cleared out. Diagnostic-curative algorithm was worked out, method of quantitative surgical risk (SR) evaluation was elaborated, a new type of staged operation in the most numerous group of patients with IIIrd stage of cancer was invented, expediency of early administration of adjuvant chemotherapy with 5-fluorouracil in combination with levamisole in general surgical department was substantiated, a classification of surgical operations, adapted to emergency surgery, was worked out.
