Essay

The genetic material (varieties, collection and breeding samples F1-F3, F4-F8 lines) of winter common bread wheat. The aim of work was the theoretical substatiation and practical realization of breeding program of the development of high-intensive short-stalked varieties of winter common bread wheat of qualitatively new type with abnormally high adaptive properties. The research methods are generally accepted genetical, physiological, biochemical and statistical. The details of genetic control and morpho-physiological display of winter weat plant traits that cause the high level of productivity and adaptivity to stress envionmental factors and grain quality are revealed. The devised and improved genotype estimation and selection methods on individual adaptive traits and properties or their complex considerably raised the efficiency of winter common bread wheat breeding. The results of theoretical investigations and devised methods took as a basis of the methodology of new breeding program SGI and are used in the breeding and seed-cultural practice of other scientific institutions of Ukraine. The total crop area of the varieties developed with the participation of the author makes up 13 m 674 ths ha and the additional grain yield toped 5.5 m metric tons. The agricultural production.
