Methods and approaches to assessment of individual doses of the main critical groups of communal radiation accident (clean-up workers and population of near zone) are developed. Comprehensive approach to dosimetric support of the cohort of liquidators was proposed comprising combined application of instrumental (EPR-dosimetry) and analytical methods of retrospective dosimetry as well as validation of existing dose records. Stochastic dosimetric models were designed and applied to reconstruction of ca.27,000 individual doses of evacuants. Monte Carlo method was applied for calculation of location factors for typical Ukrainian urban and rural houses; methodology was developed for assessment of integral location factors for various scenarios of irradiation. Doses received in course of evacuation were assessed.
